Haimanti Banerjee has been a part of the Penn community since 1995 when she started teaching Bengali at the Department of South Asia Studies. Before coming to Penn she received her MPhil in English from Delhi University. At Penn she completed her Masters in language pedagogy (TESOL,1997) and Certification in Elementary Education (2003) from the Graduate School of Education. She continues to teach Bengali and has also taught Hindi, and English as a Second Language.
