Research Interests
My earlier research investigated the presence and participation of non-Hindus and non-caste elites (for example, Abraham Pandither) in the area of the performing arts, print culture, and reform movements in twentieth-century South India. My present research broadly investigates the employment and movement of artists between princely courts and Śaiva monasteries (maṭhas) in the preceding centuries in South India.
