Sean Angiolilo, Class of 2011.

Research Project Head, IndoGenius Inc.

Bio

Getting ready for his third year in India, Sean continuously draws on his former studies in South Asia and work at CASI. He feels strongly that India should be a topic of study for more students, especially those outside the traditional confines of South Asia Studies.

Sean Angiolillo received a BA in International Relations and South Asia Studies at the University of Pennsylvania in May 2011. After spending a year in China, Sean returned to the other side of the Himalayas in 2013 to become Head of Research Projects for IndoGenius, a position he maintains today. IndoGenius is a Delhi-based organization specializing in study programs, research projects and strategic initiatives that foster greater collaboration with and understanding of India. In his work for IndoGenius, Sean has done everything from advising the European Union on how to increase collaboration with India in the fields of science, technology and innovation; to building a free education mobile app; and even delivering speeches outside the Red Fort to students on immersion programs.

Getting ready for his third year in India, Sean continuously draws on his former studies in South Asia and work at CASI. He feels strongly that India should be a topic of study for more students, especially those outside the traditional confines of South Asia Studies. As IndoGenius with partner Ohio State University has now re-launched Passport to India, a U.S. State Department initiative to encourage more young Americans to study abroad and intern in India, he looks forward to doing just this.
